Before and after of a Tasmanian Blackwood (cookie slab) Serving board.
Commissioned by a customer that was able to source the cookie slab from an arborist.
There a quite a bit of pest damage but was able to maintain the slab integrity with some clear epoxy resin. Finished the piece with mineral oil and wax.

Refinished chessboard before and after. Original had chip in resin and was refinished with a shellac and wax finish. Stain used to blend with veneer.
