We’re currently hosting Colour Theory by Pria Mitra in the koush studio as part of the 6 manton gallery space🎨

If you’re not familiar with the 6 Manton space — our studio sits between Pony and Cole cafe and Printmakers Stone & Quoin.

Running from March 20 to May 22, open Monday–Saturday, 11–2.
There are also workshops running on Saturday 18th of April and Saturday 2nd of May (link below).

We have been working with to design these custom acoustic components.
They will create a vaulted ceiling in a collaborative classroom for Adelaide Uni designed with our friends
The white gloves construction of them on site has been a joy to see.

Last Friday I toured Interface’s manufacturing facility in Minto, just outside Sydney for a behind-the-scenes look at how their carpet tiles are created.

We were able to follow a thread from it's entry to the factory, through numerous machines that added yarn in different processes – darning, twisting, and tip shearing; followed by the addition of backing and then watched the whole lot get cut into tiles, which then go back to the shelves as a completed product. Astoundingly the rows and rows we saw were 6 weeks of stock – all Australian made.
It was inspiring to see sustainability embedded in every stage of the production process. Their goal to be a carbon negative company by 2040 is on track to be met.

We were then treated to lunch in the Surrey Hills showroom, followed by a chance to design our own tile (which will also be made on the sample machine in Minto)
