The algal bloom over the past year has hit sales hard, and it’s meant a lot of my lures and fishing gear have just been sitting in storage instead of out on the water where they belong.

Chasing Callop last weekend at Morgan for the comp. Managed to catch 9 Callop ranging from 43cm-31cm. Hook up videos to come shortly!

Bream Masters Round 2- Glenelg River 🎣

Day 1: Kicked off strong with a legal bream in the first 20 minutes on a Gulp 2” Shrimp, but the bite shut down hard after that. Didn’t find another bream until 1PM, making for a tough grind on the water. Finished day 1 with 2/3 fish in the bag with a total weight of 0.86kg.

Day 2: Started strong again with an early fish, followed by a solid 38cm bream off the rocks and another in just a foot of water—all before 10AM on the same Gulp 2” Shrimp. Later in the day I hooked into an upgrade but unfortunately busted me off. Filled my bag of 3 fish with a total weight for the day of 1.86kg.

Overall I placed 25th out of 35 anglers with a total weight 2.72kg. Big improvement from Round 1 earlier in the year. Amazing weekend away in one of the best locations for fishing.

Biggest squid for the day at Seacliff last week on the segmented red head and white body 🙌 $10 each.

The squid were all over the orange and red/white jigs early, but after 10 AM, the glow yellow jigs were the favourites! Both the standard and segmented (not pictured) versions were getting smashed.
