Beyond the finishes, what matters is how these spaces work for the people using them. Making the most of the available room, keeping things practical and creating a welcoming space all play a part.

The details nobody notices until they’re done wrong.

At a final inspection this week we stopped to look at this one. The bottom and top of the niche both land exactly on a grout line, and the tiles at the back of the niche are full width, with no slivers or cut pieces.

Follow that top line around into the shower and the ledge sits on the same line. Then the ledge stops plumb, right where the shower screen finishes, so the glass sits on it as a clean dog-leg.

None of this happens by accident. It starts at carpentry rough-in, when the framing for the niche and ledge is set out to the tile layout before a single tile goes on the wall. Big thanks to our carpentry and tiling team for nailing it.

This is the planning we put into every Stanton bathroom.

Most people wouldn’t even notice this…

But it’s one of those little details that makes a bathroom feel properly considered.

When we’re setting out a bathroom, we’re not just thinking about where the vanity, tapware and shaving cabinet will fit.

We’re thinking about how everything lines up.

The basin centred beneath the wall spout. The spout aligned with the shaving cabinet. Even the spacing between each element has been carefully considered.

It’s not something every bathroom needs, but when you’re aiming for this level of symmetry, getting the set-out right makes all the difference.

These decisions happen well before the tiles go on.

A little different from your typical ensuite layout, and we love how this one turned out!

Separate his and hers vanities, a beautiful feature spa bath and a central feature wall that cleverly conceals the shower on one side and the toilet on the other.

It’s a great example of how thoughtful design can create privacy, functionality and a beautiful space all at once.

You shouldn’t have to chase updates to find out what’s happening with your bathroom renovation.

Throughout the build, our client portal keeps you updated on what’s happening on site, with progress updates, photos and important project information there when you need it.

It means you know what’s happening with your renovation, even when you can’t be there.

That grey line around the carpet near your bathroom might be telling you more than you think.

Discolouration around the doorway can be a sign that moisture has made its way beneath the surface. Left unchecked, water damage can affect the subfloor and lead to mould and more serious problems.

If you’re noticing signs like these around your bathroom, don’t ignore them. We can help identify what’s going on before the damage gets worse.
