🌙 A Heartfelt Farewell from Sleep Doctor Campbelltown 💙

After almost 30 wonderful years, we’re saying goodbye.

Since opening our doors in 1996, Sleep Doctor Campbelltown has had the joy and honour of helping our community find better sleep, comfort, and rest. Along the way, we’ve been humbled to receive 13 Local Business Awards, 2 Champion of Champions Awards, and many other recognitions — but our greatest reward has always been you, our loyal customers.

From the very beginning, you’ve welcomed us into your homes and lives, and for that we’ll always be grateful. Your support, kindness, and trust have made every moment worthwhile.

💫 Sleep Doctor Campbelltown was built on the vision and drive of Ben Duggan, whose passion, integrity, and dedication shaped everything we are. Ben took over the business in 2021 and poured his heart and soul into continuing its legacy. Though we sadly lost him to cancer in May last year, his spirit continues to guide us every day. This farewell is as much a tribute to him as it is to the incredible community that supported his dream. 💙

As we close this chapter, we do so with full hearts, proud of the legacy we’ve built together.

✨ We’ll remain open until Christmas, and all stock must go — so if you’d like to visit us one last time, now’s the perfect opportunity.

Today we celebrate the incredible women around the world who inspire, empower and break barriers every single day. Whether they are making history or shaping the future, they continue to show resilience, strength and love in everything they do.
Let’s continue on the great successes they have achieved, and continue to create a world where every woman’s voice is heard and valued.

Today we hosted a Cancer Council- Biggest Morning Tea in honour of Ben Duggan.

For those of you who don’t know Ben! Ben and his wife Stephanie are our business owners and took over Candles2go just over 3 years ago. Sadly Ben was diagnosed with stage 4 oesophageal cancer 12 months ago. At the beginning of Ben’s diagnosis he was quite ill and the prognosis was not good, however with a positive mindset and support of a loving family, friends and medical team treatment was starting to improve. Unfortunately the cancer was quite aggressive and had spread to other organs in early April 2024.
At the beginning of April after receiving news that treatment wasn’t going to plan, Steph wanted to give something back to a charity that had a special purpose and that was the Cancer Council.

Sadly on the 7th of May, Ben lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully in the presence of Steph, two of their three children Jackson and Isabella-Joy and Ben’s loving brother Tim.

For those who knew Ben, he was the kind of person that was kind, caring, understanding and just had the most amazing charisma. Ben was the type of person that would do anything to help, if you needed a hand he was the guy. Ben would make you feel welcome regardless of being in the shop or at home. Ben had a passion for everything football (soccer) and had a quite successful career as a goalkeeper and a goalkeeping coach both here in Macarthur and also internationally.
Ben’s passions also extend into business and ecommerce. His passion for creating a successful business had always been his dream.

While we are at a great loss with losing our teammate, our leader and friend, we are honoured to have known Ben.

Thank you to all our friends, families colleagues and associates who have taken time from your busy schedules to spend a moment with us in honouring Ben’s memory and donated to such a wonderful cause!
