🤎 TWO YEARS AGO, DRAB TO FAB WAS JUST ONE LITTLE IDEA…

Furniture restoration is where it all began, and it will always be the heart of Drab to Fab. I still absolutely love transforming tired furniture for my customers and giving old pieces a beautiful new life. 🪑✨

But along the way, another little part of the business began to grow…
I discovered how much I also love helping beginners learn to transform furniture themselves... and Drab to Fab DIY Workshop was born. 🖌️🤎
And this week, that little page reached 1,000 FOLLOWERS! 🎉🥹

I now see Drab to Fab as two sides of the same little business:

🤎 NOW THIS ONE WAS HIDING SOME POTENTIAL!

Here’s another little trip into the Drab to Fab archives… and this one certainly didn’t look very exciting when it first arrived in my workshop! 😂
That poor old top had definitely seen better days, but underneath all that wear and tear was some beautiful timber just waiting to be brought back to life. 😍

A fresh new colour for the body, that gorgeous natural timber restored and some new hardware gave this old piece a completely different look. ✨

This is exactly why I love restoring old furniture — sometimes you really don’t know what’s hiding underneath until you start. 🤎

🎉🎂 DRAB TO FAB IS TWO! 🎂🎉

Two years of turning drab into fab! 🖌️🤎

Wow, what a journey these past two years have been! From rescuing tired old furniture to creating beautiful custom pieces for my wonderful customers, I've loved watching my little business grow.

There have been plenty of late nights, paint-covered clothes, learning curves, happy dances and, of course, a whole lot of furniture transformations along the way! 😂
And I couldn't celebrate this milestone without mentioning my beautiful Jetty boy. 🐾🤎

For those who have followed my journey, you'll know Jett was my faithful workshop supervisor, chief furniture inspector and the star of Jett Cam. Although he's no longer here beside me, he was such a huge part of Drab to Fab's story, and he'll always have a special place in my workshop and my heart. ❤️

To everyone who has supported my little business over these past two years — whether you've trusted me with your furniture, purchased a piece, recommended me to a friend, followed along or simply left an encouraging comment — THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! 🥰

A LITTLE WORKSHOP UPDATE! 🤎

There's something so satisfying about seeing a timber tabletop stripped back and looking fresh again!

This beauty has been getting some attention in my workshop, and I just love seeing the natural timber come through. 😍

Still more work to be done, but it's coming along nicely!

🤎 A little Saturday afternoon in the workshop!

Remember Lisa's dining room furniture from earlier this week?

Well, today has been all about getting that first coat of primer on her buffet and bookcases! 🖌️

It's always exciting when the old orange finish starts disappearing and you can begin to see the transformation taking shape.

Still plenty to do, but we're getting there! ✨

🤎 ONE FROM THE ARCHIVES…

This one still has to be one of my all-time favourite transformations. 😍

What started as that classic orange timber hutch was given a completely new look — but I kept that gorgeous timber top to bring some warmth back into the finished piece.

And seeing it styled and absolutely packed with all its treasures afterwards made it even better! 🥰
