Can you guess what we decided to do with this one?

No - it did not go to the fire pit 😊

This accent table looked really beautiful in white but I had other plans for it. I was definitely going to repaint it so the piece was stripped with chemical st****er - whatever didn't come off with that wasn't going to come off without a fight - so why fight it 😜Undercoat / Primer is a wonderful thing!

When examined the top was MDF. Ahhh - why did they make these beautiful hand carved timber pieces with MDF tops 🤷‍♀️ Certainly beats me!

So ... MB and I did a template of the original and cut and machined another top from pine - (Rescued from our previous TV cabinet exploits 😅)

A few big knots in the pine - Mmmm - so did we paint or stain the top? That is the question 😉? What do you think? I will post some pictures later in the week 😉

This gorgeous solid timber set has been refurbished with Dixie Belle Paint Company mineral paint called 'Fluff' ... a lovely serene, soft white. The doors have been enhanced on the front with a subtle raised floral stencil - (tricky to see in these photos - close up in previous post).

New turned feet on the bottoms that suit these pieces really well. A stencil inside of the doors with a lovely matching liner for the shelves and drawers. Large mirror (only frame has been photographed) in great condition.

White washed tops and new k***s.

Looking lovely and fresh with this modern look and now ready for a new home 😊

She’s got a little mystery, plenty of sass, and a whole lot of cowgirl style. 💗

Helen's House gave Pretty Tough such a fun western makeover. The soft, weathered finish paired with those dusty pinks feels feminine without losing that cowgirl edge.

Whether you go rustic, bold, feminine, or full-on western, Pretty Tough gives you plenty of room to make her your own. 🤠

I'm doing up this solid pine table as a Wedding Registry piece with floral detailing.

It would look beautiful anywhere, but just imagine signing your vows to each other on this lovely table at your home or garden wedding!

So pretty!!

Features - paintable wallpaper around the edges with support trims on the bottom

Pine top, white washed with rose stencil

Painted in 'Fluff' by Dixie Belle Paint Company

PS - I had to add the stencils to cover up some unsightly marks but I think it has worked out great 👌

The lovely lady who bought these items from Helen's House has great styling ideas (both indoors and out).
She also has a keen sense of exactly what will fit into each space of their beautiful home.
This refurbished TV cabinet matches nicely with the buffet previously bought from Helen's House but also fits precisely into its designated spot 🥰 The photos don't do justice. It's going to look amazing!!

10 things nobody warns you about when you start painting furniture…

1. Your normal clothes will slowly become painting clothes. Even the “good” ones. Especially the good ones.

2. Your car will never fit in the garage again. The garage belongs to the furniture now.

3. You’ll become exceptionally good at furniture Tetris. Three cabinets, two bedside tables and a chair *will* fit in there if everyone remains calm.

4. You’ll own 27 paintbrushes—and still use the same three every single time.

5. You’ll discover you’re much stronger than you ever knew. Mostly while moving an enormous cabinet by yourself because nobody else is home and patience has never been your thing.

6. Every project has a stage where you stand back and think, “Well, I’ve absolutely ruined that.”

7. You’ll start slowing down whenever you see furniture on the side of the road. Just looking, obviously.

8. You’ll develop surprisingly strong opinions about drawer handles—and expect other people to care.

9. You’ll only want to make friends with other furniture people because they’re the only ones willing to discuss paint finishes, decoupage paper and the potential of an abandoned buffet for more than four minutes.

10. Finishing one project will not make your furniture pile smaller. Somehow, it only encourages it.

Can you relate? Lol
