One of my first refurb projects, a darling piece made sometime between 1854 to 1920, by Australian furniture manufacturer Henry Gage located in Fitzroy. Most likely a piece for brewers or vignerons as much of his woodwork was.
Gorgeous solid wood sanded back, repaired with a clear satin finish, resprayed original handles. Unfortunately Henry appeared in court in 1913 for having more apprentices than allowed by law, and also underpaying staff....oh Henry!
