1st board is complete. This one is a tester to make sure it works the way it’s supposed to. Needs to be balanced and hold the knives securely. It’s made from the offcuts remaining from my bench build. The timber is camphor. It’s been sourced from NSW and smells amazing.

New toys from Japan! I have already started using them on my new project. I’m making a magnetic knife stand

The last step of every project is have my bunnies inspect my work. Only after I get there approval, I can say it’s complete 🐰

What would you keep in this box?

I often like to move around my furniture to keep the place a little interesting and test out new living arrangements. These boxes are convenient and adaptable to different layouts around the home. We are also using 2 as bedside tables for the guest bedroom. They are great for people like me who get bored easily.
Custom sizes available.

These boxes are at 2 different sizes, 30x30cm & 60x30cm. This way they can stack in any orientation and line up perfectly. I have applied oil to these pieces to give more of a matte look.

I saw a similar design somewhere else and wanted to make my own version. I tried a couple different methods of putting these boxes together. I assembled some using biscuits and some with just glue. They all include a splines to the corners for added strength and a bit of detail.

Lamp or not to lamp.

I was contemplating different designs on how to run the cable to the ground but then decided it would look better if I made a groove in the top and make a pocket for the switch to sit in. Just to make things a little modern, I have used a bulb that connects to the wifi and can be turned on and off via mobile app.
