Are non-toxic mattresses important to you? 🧸

Us too.

We know choosing a mattress for your toddler isn’t just about comfort.

It’s about knowing what they are sleeping on every night.

And if you’ve followed Teddy Bed for a while, you’ll know that creating a safe, non-toxic sleep environment is so important to us.

It’s one of our fundamental values as a business.

That’s why we have partnered with suppliers who are fully approved by CertiPUR-US®, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and REACH meaning all our mattresses are made without

🚫 formaldehyde
🚫 heavy metals like mercury and lead
🚫 ozone depleters (CFCs)
🚫 regulated phthalates
🚫 banned flame retardants like PBDEs, TDCPP, or TCEP

So you don’t have to worry about irritants on your little one’s skin or whether their mattress has been tested for harmful substances.

Only cosy comfort and peace of mind, so you can rest easy knowing they are safe every night. ☁️

So your toddler has climbed out of their cot, and suddenly buying their first bed feels urgent?

But you don’t want to panic-buy the wrong one.

We get it.

You thought you had more time. 🧸

(But let’s be honest, they really do grow up so fast 🫶🏻)

When choosing a toddler bed, here are 3 mistakes to avoid 🧸

1️⃣ Choosing a mattress that’s too soft. A mattress that lets your toddler sink in deeply can mould around their face. Choose a firm, flat surface that holds its shape, in the correct size and thickness for the bed.

2️⃣ Choosing a bed that’s too high. Getting on and off can be harder for little legs, and there’s further to fall if they roll out. A low bed makes it easier to practise climbing in and out independently.

3️⃣ Forgetting about airflow underneath. Moisture can collect beneath a mattress and lead to damp and mould. Choose a base that allows air to circulate. If you use a mattress directly on the floor, lift and air it regularly.

At teddy Bed, our goal is to help your little one climb into a bed they’re excited to call their own, snuggle down for a bedtime story, and help you feel confident you’ve chosen well even if this next step came sooner than expected. 🤍
