We custom‑milled this 300 × 180mm post from a solid Spotted Gum log, shaping it into a standout step for a beautiful home renovation.

Spotted Gum’s strength, grain and natural colour make it perfect for moments like this — where the timber isn’t just functional, it becomes part of the home’s character.

Our customer wasn’t able to find this piece anywhere else so we were very pleased we were able to help them out to complete the project!

This talented young artist visited our workshop last year for two live edge slabs. From here she created this stunning work of art through pyrography into the grain of the timber. After she completed her works, she needed custom stands to support her work, however the tricky bit came with the weight restrictions! JPM managed to create something sturdy but matching in with the aesthetics of artwork.

This work was selected for ARTEXPRESS 2026. Such incredible work!

Our favourite part is that the fiddle back within the timber has created the effect of clouds in the sky! What’s yours?

The JPM team installed this tallowood mantle piece against the exposed brick wall, mounting it on custom powder‑coated steel brackets —simple upgrade that completely transforms the fire place character.

We slabbed this Angophora log two years ago expecting something simple… maybe even a little plain. But the moment we machined it, the grain exploded to life — bold, unexpected, and absolutely stunning.

We’ve used one of these slabs to transform an old industrial door‑mat space into a warm, natural entry feature. And the best part? We still have more of this incredible timber in stock.
