The bathroom you keep saving to your camera roll.

Most DIY renovators start the same way: a folder of ideas, a picture in their head and a vanity they have not quite worked out yet. That is a good place to start.

We make the cabinetry. Custom flatpack, precision CNC cut to your sizes and supplied packed flat, so you or your trade can install it. The basin, tapware, mirror and every finishing touch are yours to choose.

Head to the Pack It Flat website, create an account and start planning your bathroom cabinetry, one step at a time.

What do you want your bathroom to feel like: calm, warm, bright or hotel-like?

Got ten minutes this Sunday?

That's all it takes to start. Grab a tape measure and take your first measurements for the kitchen, laundry or wardrobe you've been planning.

It's worth doing carefully, because we cut to the sizes you give us. A wrong number on paper becomes a wrong size on the board, and a right one means you're planning from numbers you can trust.

Then the next step is easy. Head to the Pack It Flat website, register, and start a draft in our 3D Room Planner. Nothing is locked in until you submit your job, so you can take your time.

Wall not quite square? Open the Guides & Resources section of our website and look for the Fillers & Voids 101 guide. It explains how to handle it.

Which room are you measuring up first?

When a supplier does your cutting, the first question should be: who owns the client?

With Pack It Flat, you do.

We're a trade supply partner, not a competitor. We precision cut, drill and edge your cabinetry and supply it packed flat, with the option of carcass assembly. Everything else stays with you:

→ The client relationship
→ The measure and the design
→ The install
→ Your name on the finished job

For a newly qualified cabinetmaker, that's the difference between working for someone else and running your own business with the backing of an established operation behind you.

Just qualified as a cabinetmaker and thinking about going out on your own?

Here's the question most people get stuck on: how do you start a cabinetmaking business without a serious machinery bill hanging over you from day one?

The usual assumption is that you buy the workshop, the CNC and the edgebander first, then go looking for work. It's a big risk to take before you've got a single client.

Flip the order:

→ Win the work first
→ Learn what jobs your business actually attracts
→ Decide what machinery is worth owning once you know

Pack It Flat does the cutting. You bring the skills, the client and the install. We've been in the industry for 37 years, and we'd rather help good tradespeople get started than watch them stall on setup costs.

If you're weighing it up, give us a call on 03 5261 8880 and we'll talk through what a partnership could look like.

What would you need to feel confident taking your first job on your own?

13/10/2026

Finishing a cabinetmaking apprenticeship is a big achievement. Working out what comes next can be harder.

Most newly qualified cabinetmakers face the same fork in the road. Stay on the tools for someone else, or go out on your own and take on the cost of a workshop and machinery before the first job is even booked.

This reel walks through a third option.

Partner with Pack It Flat and we handle the cutting, drilling and edging, with the option of carcass assembly. You keep the client, the design, the install and your name on every job. You can price jobs in our 3D Room Planner, send us files straight from Mozaik or Cabinet Vision, and bring in custom cutting or 2-pack painting when the job calls for it.

It means you can start building your business now, with 37 years of industry experience behind you, and decide what machinery is worth owning once you know what work you attract.

Custom flatpack cabinetry comes with questions a form can't always answer. Which board suits the job, how sizes and ordering work, what we supply and what's left to you or your trade to install.

Ask them whichever way suits you. Save this one for when the questions start stacking up.

This season on The Block, each kitchen's finish carried straight into the laundry: same door, same oak.

If you're renovating both rooms, it's worth planning them as one job. A single order keeps the finish consistent across both spaces. You also see the full price for both rooms before you commit to anything.

We precision cut and supply it packed flat. You or your trade to install.

Would you match your laundry to your kitchen, or give it its own look?

Pocket doors on one page: the Blum REVEGO quick reference, worth saving before you start planning a kitchen, home office or robe.

Want the detail behind it? The full Pocket Doors 101 guide is on our website. It covers how the system works, where it suits, and what it takes to plan one into your job.

One thing to know early: REVEGO isn't available through our online portal. The drilling is too complex to configure there, so pocket door jobs run through our Custom Cutting service, by phone or email. You bring the plan, and we machine it on our CNC to Blum's spec and supply the Blum hardware to match.

We precision cut and supply it packed flat. You or your trade to install.

Kitchen, office or robe: where would yours go?

Just finished your cabinetmaking apprenticeship and thinking about going out on your own?

It's a big step, and the first question is usually about money. A workshop, a CNC, an edgebander, board and software add up fast, and that's all before your first client has paid you a cent.

There's another way to start. Partner with Pack It Flat and we do the cutting, drilling and edging for your jobs. You look after the client, the measure, the design and the install. Your business, your name on the job.

It gives you room to win work, build a reputation and learn what your business actually needs before you commit serious capital to a factory and machinery.

We've been in the industry for 37 years. We know what the first few years look like, and we'd rather help you through them than watch good tradespeople stall on setup costs.

If you're weighing up your next move, give us a call on 03 5261 8880 and we'll talk through what a partnership could look like.

What's the furthest your cabinetry has had to travel?

We've just sent a full multi-unit job from our Torquay workshop all the way up to the Sunshine Coast. Cut and edged here on the Surf Coast, then on the road to a site in another state.

It got us wondering how far our trade customers ship their work, and what makes the long runs harder. Is it the distance, the freight, or getting the sizes right the first time?

Tell us the longest run you've had, and what made it tricky.
