Angela inherited this antique bedroom accent chair from her aunt, but over the years it found its way into the garage, sitting untouched long after her aunt had passed.
Wanting to honour its history, we designed a custom transformation filled with personal meaning:
🌿 The Fabrics: A rich olive textured boucle style fabric for the seat paired with a linen cotton blend peony print for the backrest—celebrating her aunt’s favourite bloom.
🌸 The Details: Delicate floral lace leaves and blossoms appliquéd directly onto the velvet, framed by a striking black-and-taupe damask trim and back panel.
🖤 The Frame: Painted in deep Midnight satin to accentuate the ornate carved crest and shapely cabriole legs.
🍄The Hidden Touch: Angela loves mushrooms, so we finished the underside with a vibrant, cheeky fungi-print dust cover (swipe to see!).
Craftsmanship and family history like this deserve to be showcased, not stored away. Now it is back home, ready to be cherished for another generation.
