When I travel I bring my .tools pocket whittling knife in my checked bag so that I can play.
• Simple owl at play here.
I’m sure the hotel cleaning staff wonder about the wood chips in the recycling though 🙄

This is Ollie in a barrel. One of my wife’s best friends misses her pup so now she has a travel buddy.
The golf ball started as a parrot and soon became “Gonzo the great“

So I have a piece of basswood that seems to have grain all over the place.
Every way I cut it tears.
My knives are sharp and it’s frustrating.

Has this happened to anyone?

Do I just have to cave in and use sandpaper?
