With all this snow we just got and the 2–3 inches of rain forecasted this week

When snow melts fast and the ground is still saturated, that’s when basements flood.

It happens every year

Take 5 minutes and:::

• Pour a bucket of water into the pit to make sure it kicks on

• Lift the float to confirm it activates

• Check the discharge line outside (make sure it’s not frozen or blocked)

• Test your backup battery if you have one

• Listen for any strange noises

A working sump pump is the difference between a dry basement and thousands in damage.

Stay ahead of it. Prevention is cheaper than restoration.
