Juline brought me this china cabinet and while I knew I had my work cut out for me on this one, I didn’t quite realize the extent of what that meant until I got into it more and more. I think the photos speak for themselves, but I’ll be honest with you, had this not been a client owned piece it would’ve made its way into the firewood pile. But thankfully that just wasn’t an option, as LOOK AT IT NOW 😍😍😍

It’s been a minute (ok ok, a few months) since I’ve last shown up on here. I hope y’all had a great summer … it’s wild that we’re into the ‘ber months already!! It’s so cliche to say, but where did the summer go 😢

My client bought this solid oak bench from a local craftsman years ago. It has great bones, but it had a dated orange oak finish.

She purchased a piece from me not long ago so she hired me to tackle this project for her. After all this time, it still amazes me what some hard work can accomplish. This was picked up today, and she dropped off another one for me to do - and this one’s a doozy, so stay tuned!

We have shared over 18 years together, and today, 12 years married🤎

I loved getting my hands on this one.

My client inherited this solid oak sideboard, and while it was in incredible condition, she wanted the finish to better reflect her own aesthetic. So we went dark. It had been refinished before, and after stripping it, several bondo repairs were showing. So I stained it twice, and followed that with a homemade toner along with my trusty blend-all sticks. 3 coats of polyurethane were sprayed to lock it all in and provide durability. My client provided the matte black k***s she loved, and it’s finally ready to go home and be loved again 🖤
