Diabetes isn't just about surviving with insulin pens and glucose monitors - it's about thriving with the right tools and technology that makes life full and healthy.

“This is the day-in-the-life of diabetes. Changing my Dexcom G7 and Omnipod takes time, needles, and a bit of patience. For me, it’s manageable—it’s not the end of the world. But my heart goes out to the kids living with Type 1 and to the parents who have to do this for them every few days. That’s the real challenge.”

I’m proud to announce the launch of Winning The Race With Diabetes in Canada as I take this next step in becoming Canadian.

Even with socialized medicine, gaps remain in diabetes care—whether it’s helping prevent type 2, supporting families of kids with type 1, or making the newest technology more accessible. My goal is to give back to my new home by leading through example: using cycling, community rides, education, and advocacy to raise awareness and inspire.

This is my first step in contributing to the Canadian athletic community and helping more people live the lives they’ve always dreamed of—on and off the bike.
