Now, for something completely different - stunningly beautiful, uniquely designed, and hand-crafted console tables made with solid walnut and Canadian maple wood. The first one is walnut with stained black maple pieces randomly placed within providing a stunning contrast. The second one is stained black maple and the last one has a natural maple finish. They are oil finished and wet sanded by hand using 2000 grit sand paper resulting in a silky smooth finish. Which is your favourite?

Custom sizes and colours are available. Please DM for additional information and pricing.

The first picture is of a TV/entertainment unit we found on-line and, suggested to my customer as a possible design for her project. She liked it and we went ahead with this style/design. The remaining pictures are of the unit I built. As the saying goes, “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”.

This is an industrial “bar” style table with matching stools I built using reclaimed wood. The table measures 72” x 18” x 42”. Seat height of the stools is 30”. As always, this reclaimed wood has tremendous character and coloration.

This custom vanity was a real challenge - particularly in the design stage. Incorporating the decorative front leg posts and the top row of drawers which extends over the bottom portion of the cabinet is what made it so. I believe it turned out beautifully and it looks great with the matching mirror in its newly renovated bathroom. Thank you Kim and Mario for the photos.

This custom rolling “buffet” measures 44”w x 44”h x 20.5”d and includes its own wine cooler. The idea was to create a unit which contained most everything you needed for hosting a small dinner party on the nearby outside deck - wine, wine glasses, and dinner dishes. It sits upon 4, 7.5” high, vintage, cast iron wheels. We added a lock to keep it safe around young children. Thanks to Vani for the in-home photos.

Here are a number of steps involved with making a “live edge” dining table and bench.
1) select the most beautiful slabs you can find. These are ash wood.
2) flatten slabs using a router and flattening jig.
3) glue and clamp boards together (notice the insect markings on live edge.
4) build and paint metal legs. Here we used 3” x 4” “H” beams for the table and 2” x 3” “H” beams for the bench.
5) sand and finish wood surfaces (not shown).
6) assemble and, voilà! Table: 40” x 84” x 30”. Bench: 15” x 84” x 16”. 🙂

Here’s a matching mantel and sliding barn door I did for Vanessa in Brossard. Loving the character in that wood!

My customer asked if I could salvage the marble counter top from her old vanity and replace the cabinet with a new one. This is what we came up with. I believe the choice of hardware really tied the grey tones in the marble to the cabinet itself. Complete with high-end “soft close” drawers.
