There’s a certain kind of renovation that doesn’t announce itself.
This one kept the kitchen layout intact but replaced cold builder white with natural cream cabinets, Hanstone quartz counters, and mixed metals that feel considered rather than trendy. The island stretched to seat five, a garage door hides appliance clutter, and the whole space feels warmer without changing a single pipe.
The family room had a furniture placement issue: two patio doors stealing wall space. We curtained one off and suddenly the sectional, TV, and fireplace all worked together. Added oak, rattan, and performance fabrics that can handle kids and a dog.
Not every transformation needs demolition. Sometimes it just needs better decisions guided by designers who’ve tackled these challenges across hundreds of projects.

This family had been working with us for over 10 years. Living room, dining room, kids’ bedrooms. Each time they’d wonder: do we renovate again or finally move?
For the main floor, they wanted a simple kitchen reface. It turned into a full refresh instead. We kept everything in the same place but made it completely new. Natural cream cabinets, Hanstone Cremose countertops with a leather finish, Lifestyle Ceramique Athena White tiles for backsplash, mixed metals, and an extended island that seats five.
The family room transformation brought in warm oak and rattan tones with performance fabrics for the kids and dog. We solved their two-patio-door problem by treating one as a window, which opened up the layout for a proper sectional and larger TV.
They moved out briefly. When they came back, it went from empty to fully finished fast. The client wrote to us: ‘I opened Pinterest this morning and saw all my old inspiration photos, and it hit me that I’m now living in the kitchen and family room I imagined.’ Moments like this are why we do what we do 🤍
Not every project needs to knock down walls. Sometimes you just need to make what you have, work better ✨
