What started as a small idea grew into more than we ever could have imagined.

This photo feels pretty fitting for the last 10 years. Jamie has always had the “floor,” teaching and doing what he does best, while Annette has been behind the scenes managing everything that keeps Fast Beats CPR and First Aid Ltd. moving forward. Different roles, but from day one, we have built this business together.

And we really did start small. Just the two of us, with Jamie teaching one- and two-day courses with sometimes only one student in the room. But we never gave up on our dream or what we knew we could build together.

Ten years later, we continue to put in the late nights, long days and countless hours travelling throughout Alberta. The hard work hasn’t stopped, but neither has the growth.

Today, our team includes four incredible instructors and amazing behind-the-scenes support. Our services have also grown to include Event First Aid Services and medical, first aid and safety equipment sales, while we continue providing training throughout Alberta.

Through every stage, we couldn’t have asked for a better business partnership. We know each other’s strengths, trust each other completely and, after 10 years, still genuinely love building this business together as a powerhouse team.

To every student who has walked through our doors, every business and organization that has trusted us with their teams, our incredible instructors, and all of the friends, family and community members who continue to support us—thank you. You have all played a part in getting us here.

We are incredibly proud of how far we have come and even more excited about where we are going.

Even when we are travelling, we are always thinking about safety! 🚑

One of the first things we notice when arriving somewhere is where the nearest AED is located.

Whether you are camping, staying at a resort, travelling around the world, attending an event, or visiting a busy public space, take a moment to locate the closest AED. It’s important not only for the safety of your own friends and family, but for everyone around you.

Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any age, often without warning. Knowing where an AED is located before an emergency happens can save valuable time when every second counts.

In highly populated areas especially, being prepared means being one step ahead.

Know where it is. Know how to use it. Be ready to act. 💙

Of course, the pink Beetle had to be the girlies’ favourite car of the show, while this beautiful little British classic won Annette over with a nod to her English heritage. 🇬🇧

To top it off, the owner asked Annette if she wanted to sit in the Beetle; easily one of her favourite experiences of the entire event!
