In between all the red hats I’ve been knitting, I snuck in some Oilers toques!

Another one out the door! I’ve been making my way through orders and I’ve just added 3 of these as a made to order option on my Etsy site with your choice of patch. I’ve set the processing time as up to 3-4 weeks but they will likely be finished faster. These do take me a bit longer because they are over 8000 stitches each all knit by hand.

Was able to snag a table for one last market before Christmas due to a cancellation they had. You can come shop my knits in person this Friday evening and Saturday!

If you’re looking for a unique gift - I have lots of one of a kind toques available! Hand knit by me using hand dyed, 100% merino wool. I buy yarn from women owned small businesses all over the world with some of my yarn coming from as far away as Ireland, the UK, and Uruguay and a bit closer like the US and right here in Alberta. Using hand dyed yarn means everything is unique and one of a kind. I make the pom poms myself as well. Merino wool is a fabulous fibre - moisture wicking, temperature regulating, anti-microbial, odor resistant, incredibly soft. Yes the price is a bit higher for hand dyed merino but if you take good care of it, it should last you for many years to come.
The postal strike has been hurting many small businesses. I haven’t been able to take an Etsy orders because the shipping with alternative couriers is just too high. But if you’re ok with higher than normal shipping or are local and want to pick up let me know if you see something you’d like. This is a very small fraction of what I have on hand.
