Your roof is easily the most important investment for your home. This Boundary Bay rancher was ready for a new roof and while planning the project, the homeowners decided to undertake a few other items that were on their to-do list. Along with the high quality Malarkey underlayment and shingles we installed, additional work included:
🔨Removal of all existing shiplap, old plywood and fibreboard that spanned 3 different additions performed over the years to allow a smoother planed surface for plywood.
🔨Removal of existing “dummy dormers” from the roof surface to improve the aesthetic of house
🔨Removal of existing brick chimney and conversion to a gas fireplace with sidewall exhaust
🔨Installation of 1/2” fir plywood
🔨New B bent, plumbing vents and flashings
🔨New skylight with mildew resistant glass
🔨New fascia all around
🔨New continuous vented ridge cap for the best ventilation of attic space
🔨New lookouts on the gables with properly structured support for fascia and soffit material
🔨New framed lookouts at all eaves with tongue and groove soffit, vent strips and potlights installed
