Our brokerage group was recently selected for an award by Optimum Insurance. Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of accepting the Optimum Broker Award for Outstanding Performance and Continued Support. I have been repeating the words above to myself consistently for the past couple weeks. The last 3 weeks have been pretty intense. I've been working on a couple things professionally and personally. Insure your valuables: jewellery, cameras and related equipment, furs, art. They can all be insured for a specified value with appraisal on your property insurance policy.⁠

Anything can happen, rings fall off and get flushed because they are not sized properly, or washed down the drain. You take something off for whatever reason and forget it there. You would be surprised the claims I've had to report.⁠

I have been spending a lot of time over the past couple of weeks helping my clients navigate through the claims process. It reminded me about the many benefits us brokers bring to the table for our clients.⁠

If you are insured with a direct writer you are dealing with someone that doesn't know you, they represent the interests of just one insurer and don't have access to other companies. Just saying🤷🏽‍♀️⁠
