Almost Forgotten Restorations

The amount of immense joy that came over me when I found the hardware I misplaced for over a year 😆 Thank goodness the drawers can open from the sides.

Everyone needs a niche little stand for something 😜🥂

Here is the final product of this cutesy little bar stand. We sealed the chalk paint with a water based polyurethane by Behr, to make the texture smooth and give it more protection. We are very happy at how she turned out!

This piece was one I started some time ago, and took a while to complete because life happens 😄. I had been using chalk paint for a few different projects and found myself liking it less and less. Maybe for me, it is a texture thing, but I have never liked the feeling of chalk! I feel accomplished that I put in the time to finish this piece because I love the way it turned out! Stay tuned for the reveal.

A pair of stools transformed to have another purpose. Originally bare legs with green tops, to bright earthy colours with beautiful accents.

I tried my hand at an imitation gold leaf decal to complement the colours of the stools. What do you think?

The first of a pair of multipurpose stools that double as plant stands. We all know you can never have enough plant stands🪴

This piece is already nice and modern, so we changed the paint to Scuff Defense in Polar Bear to match a freshly renovated bedroom.

This adorable filing cabinet started out in a dark chocolate brown. This timeless grey modernizes the piece to fit any style of office. We updated the k***s from square wood to a circular k**b.

You can peep the original dark chocolate brown. It needed an update so we took on the task.

We tried some hand taping to create the stencil outline and it turned out great! Here is a close up of the gold stripes after staging.

Another traditional cherry red piece freshened up with a stark white paint job. We decided to add our favourite wallpaper to the inside of the cubbies to match the velvet green lining inside the drawers.

When working on this piece, we discovered that it is quite difficult to photograph mirrors!
