Coco-mat was established in 1989 in Athens, Greece as a small family business. Since then, Coco-mat has been established as a global brand with growing presence in most major capitals, 18 countries. Coco-mat created innovative sleep products, made using 100% natural materials, such as coconut fibre, natural rubber, wool, cotton, goose down, oakwood but also seaweed, eucalyptus, horsehair and cactus fibre. Coco-mat sleep products are handmade at the company's privately owned factory in Xanthi, Northern Greece. Our products can be custom-made, according to the dimensions and requirements provided by the client. All our sleep products are absolutely metal-free, which makes them environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Pillows, mattresses and bed-mattresses are made using only sustainable production methods.

October is pink and it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And awareness can also mean knowing where to find a little extra support when you need it. 💗
Since 2012, our Pillow Positive Project has been offering specially designed heart-shaped pillows to women going through breast cancer surgery. The pillow is placed under the arm during the first stage of recovery, helping ease discomfort and protect the sensitive area after surgery.
And you don’t need to receive one through a hospital or clinic.
If you are preparing for or recovering from breast cancer surgery, you can simply visit a COCO-MAT store and ask for a heart-pillow. If someone you love needs one, you can pick it up for them too.
It is offered free of charge, in its own COCO-MAT cotton cross-body bag that can also be used to comfortably carry a post-surgery drain when needed.

Our approach to natural living doesn’t stop with what goes inside a mattress. It also shapes the way our products make their way to you. Wrapping beds and mattresses in layers of single-use plastic never really felt like us, so we chose a different way.🌱

Our mattresses travel in reusable fabric carrying bags, made to be used again and again. ♻️ And in our stores, reusable cotton fabric shopping bags take the place of plastic shopping bags. Life in plastic? Not so fantastic when you think twice. 🌍

There’s a reason we use natural latex in all of our mattresses. 🌳💧
Before it becomes part of your mattress, natural latex looks nothing like one. It starts as a sticky, milky sap collected from the Hevea tree. Once baked into a layer without synthetic glues or adhesives, it becomes the elastic, breathable material you’ll find inside every COCO-MAT mattress. Natural latex is also one of the reasons your mattress is made to last. Its natural resilience helps it keep its shape and elasticity over time, so the mattress stays supportive for loooonger especially compared with many synthetic foams that can gradually lose their shape with use. Even those little holes have a reason to be there! They help the mattress “breathe” with you!😮‍💨

The “-ber” months are here, bringing us back to slower evenings, warmer brews, earlier nights and all the little rituals that make home feel extra comfy. 🍂🧸It’s also the perfect time for a seasonal reset: refresh your bed linen, bring in earthy autumn tones and make your bedroom somewhere you’ll actually look forward to wind down in.
