Santa & Cole Editing objects has been our raison d’être since 1985. We choose only what moves us – a lamp, a piece of furniture or a book.

Affordable, durable and memorable objects, that fill the everyday with beauty and function at home and in common spaces. Welcome to Santa & Cole,

Small, independent and global editing company from Barcelona. Since 1985 we are committed to generating high quality products. Objects that stimulate and enrich the user: indoor and outdoor lighting, furniture & urban elements.

“There’s also a very clear relationship between materials: steel plays a major role, as it does in these two lamps. The Lamparaprima on the wooden wall created contrast, and we loved its lightness and delicacy. The TMC, with its verticality, fit perfectly into that wooden column. They’re like two steel sculptures on wood.” — Xavi Goñi, founder of CA-N.

Two floor lamps recently added to our collection.

TMA is Miguel Milá revisiting his own TMM from 1961. Same idea, even fewer words: a cross-shaped base, a sturdy vertical shaft and a lightweight frame supporting the bulb holder and lampshade. Now in aluminum gray and matte black.

Dórica lights whoever is sitting down, standing up, or somewhere in between. Slim, tall, no glare, and now also in black.

Both available at santacole.com.

From the Archives: La Xampanyeria, Barcelona, 1981. A custom lamp by Gabriel Ordeig Cole.

What later came to be known as “the designed night” was a constellation of bars created by young designers and architects in a city that had spent the dictatorship with the lights off.
Santa & Cole’s story begins before its founding, with Gabriel designing lamps for these rooms, where a modern Barcelona was taking shape.

Bilbao-based studio Donezar Lara, whose name pays tribute to the founders’ maternal surnames, has designed a home in Bilbao’s Segundo Ensanche, preserving the character of the building’s 1960s architecture.
The selection of furniture and objects, including the Sísísí Cónicas Planas, combines craftsmanship with vintage design pieces and custom elements designed by the studio.

Two new additions to our collection.

Gira Mini brings the essential qualities of the original 1978 design into a portable format, with battery power and two light intensities.

Mesita GO, first designed in 1988, combines a black-stained oak top with chrome-plated legs and distinctive match-head-shaped feet. It is available with or without a discreet drawer.

Both are now available.

Zeleste spotted in the home of a nineteenth-century Catalan privateer (a pirate with paperwork), radically restored by Raúl Sánchez Architects.

The privateer’s great-great-grandson lives there now. He wanted to honor the house‘s past without nostalgia, and he wasn’t afraid to break with the old aesthetic. So the cracks in the walls stayed, along with the polychrome ceilings and the family portraits, which hang beside modern art. Then came a stainless-steel base around the main room, in the metal of swords and cannons, along with lacquered red and yellow finishes. A daring bet that paid off, as befits a pirate‘s house.

Now available: Dórica Negra

Dórica, designed in 1994 by Jordi Miralbell and Mariona Raventós, evokes the columns of classical Greek architecture, symbols of stability and strength.

The new black finish emphasizes the richness of its ambient light. A pillar of our homes.

The portable version of Básica Mínima keeps the essence of its wired counterpart, true to a more elemental and artisanal modernity. Technology simply takes it to places the cable never could.
