Feeling a real sense of accomplishment this Christmas....ooh, what to do next?!

I'm pretty chuffed with my latest upholstery project which now has a super comfy printed velvet covering. This chair is one of a series of bee themed eclectic dining chairs for our new kitchen. Reupholstered with Blue Flamingo Upholstery. Sadly, The Husband has found it fits him perfectly and has commandeered it! Back to the drawing board pour moi...

It took me nearly 2 years, but I've finally created a fairy garden and Jurassic Park that the dogs and chickens won't trash. Jurassic Park looks a little overpopulated and heading for extinction faster than expected, but hey ho, it's not my garden! Both 5 and 7yo are very happy with their gardens.

So, over the Christmas hols I was inspired to convert my poor battered pop-up greenhouse frame into a run extension for the girls. The need to remain under cover because of high risk of bird flu in the area. Only took 1.5 rolls of plastic coated chicken wire, 100 cable ties, a tarp, a roll of garden wire and a box of bungee cords, plus freezing my butt off for several hours!
I think they like their double decker play pen! Next plan, a chicken swing.
Btw these girls are yet to pay me back in eggs!!!

Gonna have trouble eating chicken for dinner from now on....

New project for luxecycling: a latter 20th century Harris Lebus chest of drawers, circa 1960's (I'm guessing from the style and weight). Must have been from their more affordable range as it's veneered with a pine frame. Sturdy build but lightweight, slight damage to veneer. Perfect luxecycling material. Check out those bonny drawer pulls! Nice wee find
