Some recently completed bespoke 3 and 4 step folding Braiding Stands/Mounting blocks. All versions completely portable and fold into own profile.
Also X model Braiding stand with Hardwood mechanical platform.

All models handcrafted and made to order at chosen height/width/colour.
Lead times currently 14 days!

STANDARD model - 3 step unpainted
DELUXE model - 3 step enamel painted finish with anti- slip tread tape
SUPREME model - 4 step enamel painted finish with anti slip tread tape and engraved name/logo on one cross bar.
X model - 2 risers and Hardwood working platform. Can be painted/personalised to suit.

I have added a few pictures of the build process for those that might be interested. Average build takes approx 10 hours from scratch, spread over 5/6 days due to preparing/sanding wood, undercoating, paint curing times, assembly and adding tread tape and engraving.
They are all built to last!

Many others have enquired about a similar idea incorporating a step system, yet still being completely portable.
I have therefore managed to build just such a solution which is equally as robust and portable as the original X version. The beauty of the step version is that it can also double as a mounting block, so Win/Win.
Pictures are attached and this version which can also be painted and personalised to your requirements.
Please note: The pictures show the prototype screwed together for display purposes only and the finished item will be bolted together throughout.

Lovely 3D sign made from live edged Yew and genuine reclaimed Clydesdale shoe

So, was asked if I could make a “Braiding/Plaiting Stand” for one of my liveries with Clydesdales, but having never seen/heard of one, I asked for photos.1+2)
Apparently they can only be sourced in North America!

It took a wee while to get my head around the mechanics given that it folds down for portability, however stuck to the task and put together a working template. (Photos attached)

Finally, made finished article with 1100mm x 400mm live edge Oak standing platform on Redwood frame. Can be made to suit any height requirements, but this one stands at 750mm high and is rock solid. Added some personalisation and protective yacht varnish for durability.

I’m delighted with the result and wondered if it may be something that other UK Draft Horse Owners may be interested in purchasing?
Not only practical and portable, but also makes a statement and would stand out at any show or Yard.

A couple of Bridle Holder momento’s made recently!
Solid Oak hearts with Purpleheart and Walnut inlays. Each also has a locket of braided tail encompassed in clear resin and Embossed name on Heart.

Oak Barrel seat.
Full size Repurposed oak whiskey barrel seat. Shaped, Sanded, fitted with solid seat base and fully sealed with several coats of yacht varnish for durability. C/w Dumfries Tweed cushions to finish.

Also, Spots & Stripes Pool Ball Clock
Made from repurposed solid oak barrel lid 520mm diameter, c/w 2” balls bedded in resin and Quartz mechanism with handmade mini Cue hour and minute hands. All fully sanded and sealed with yacht varnish.

A couple of great additions to any Pool room or Man Cave.
