The Beasty Boys meeting the latest lads on the block ...

22/09/2026

Last night's conversation went a bit like this ... 'by the way, I'm collecting a new friend for Ernie tomorrow after work" ... 'it's a runner duck, a house duck, that's quite noisy and makes a ton of mess' ☺️ ...
Seriously! A house duck! This is the man that people think is hard done by because his wife can't say no to an animal in need.

He hasn't a clue on the s*x, the name or the age ... but is excited none the less. I however, am less excited, as the last attempt to get Ernie some friends resulted in 5 ducklings being evacuated from my garden as quickly as they had landed.

Anyway, 'Mash potatoe' has arrived. Ernie seems rather smitten , although bereft when she came indoors as that, of course, is where she lives now. So there's duck pooh all over the kitchen, she didn't like being left so we have watched some Clarksons farm together, she did the loudest most dramatic pooh on me that sent me to the shower ... where she promptly followed, pecked at the drips, and then took over.

Welcome to the family Mash. Good job you are absolutely amazing.

Collecting the eggs never grows old ...

These guys do an amazing job ... please share and get them the things they need.

We currently have 76 cats/kittens, 9 rabbits and 6 guinea pigs in our care. We also have numerous cats and rabbits on our waiting list to come in, and daily requests for help.

Our cat food stock it depleting rapidly. We have totally run out of Whiskas Kitten meat at our Ilketshall branch.

If you are able to, we would greatly appreciate any donations of meat (whiskas, felix good as it looks, Sheba in Jelly, adult and kitten). We can also make use of unwanted flea/worm treatment, other food for ferals/fussy eaters, woodchip litter and any sellable items for our Fundraising page.

Many thanks as always xx
