Meet Sadie 🤍
Sourced specifically for a client, she arrived a little worse for wear. While I was working on her, a small tag fell out from inside one of the drawers with the name Sadie written on it, and from that moment the piece had a name.
The client went with the same colour that won the poll, and I can’t imagine her any other way.
Here’s hoping she’ll continue her story for another 100 years 🤍

Stripped back to the original wood and carefully restored. A second life for this pair of bedside tables 😍

Meet Joan 🤍
I purchased this beautiful piece from Joan’s son, who sadly didn’t have the space to keep it. It had been his mother’s, and you could feel just how much it meant to them both. He was comforted knowing it would be restored and given a new life — and it only felt right to name her after the woman who loved her first.
Carefully stripped back, lovingly stained, and finished with wax, Joan is ready for a fresh start… while still carrying her story with her.
Some pieces are more than furniture — they’re memory, history, and love, passed on.

Destined for the tip… now standing tall again ✨
I restored a near identical piece last year, so I wanted to do something a little different with this one. Do you prefer the natural wood look or painted furniture? 👀

I went straight in without a tester pot and that first coat scared the s**t out of me 😄
Thankfully, a few more coats and some browning wax straightened it right out. I used Paint & Paper Library Scarlet ‘n’ Rust mixed into a homemade chalk paint, which lets the wood grain show through, and the polished brass campaign handles have finished it off perfectly.
