Over 4 million tonnes of wood is wasted in the UK each year (that’s a lot of trees). Why would we continue to cut down more and more trees just to make furniture, when there is already so much wood lying around. Leaving each of our unique pieces with a certain charm. My brother and I search the streets seeking out any discarded and broken pallets that have been left to grow old, casting prison lik
e shadows on the concrete floors. We take these pallets in, give them warmth and dryness. Then we strip them down, leaving some luscious panels of used wood. After some careful thought and planning, we cut each plank to size and then start to piece together the new furniture.
