We received this video yesterday, from the client we did the panelled room for earlier in the year. The room is taking shape beautifully. It looks so romantic and dreamy, the perfect place to stay warm during a storm.

👀 last week we had a very exciting delivery. I did take videos but I don't know how to splice them to make it as exciting as I found it. I also find it unsettling to hear myself breathe and speak 😆 I of course wanted to begin painting it before it was off the lorry.

Progress update of the door.
The door is glued up. I've been making templates for the glass and adding reinforcement fabric on the glazing bars. It's taking shape nicely. Still lots to do before it will be fitted.

The new axle is completed, slightly longer and square ended as requested by the client.
I enjoyed making this functional component for a piece of antique farming equipment.
It furthering my appreciation for the time and skill put into these things made in a time when power tools didn't exist. Once it's fitted we will post photos of the huge piece of machinery it's on.

We love how varied our job can be. We just had this large oak beam dropped off along with this original axle from an antique Foster reed comber. We need to make another axle from the beam.

These gothic arched oak doors have had the glass fitted ready to be installed this week.

It seems to be the time of year for gothic arch topped doors, and we love it! 🤎
Two different clients 2 different types of door. This client wants his external door to mirror the windows above. He used AI to help picture whether it would look right. We think it will look perfect.
Although the current door looks good in photos its actually very warped, swollen shut, no draught proofing so is very draughty. At some point the glass was replaced with a floral etched design.
The new door will match the original astral glazed windows and have proper draught proofing. Just in time for winter 🥶

So lucky to live and work where we do, these views never disappoint. We saw lots of hot air balloons this morning 🎈

Making use of old door ways in this property. The clients like the Scandi look, so I grooved out some oak shelves for some custom floating shelf supports. See pictures 📸 also easily removable for when the decorator comes.

Arch topped oak doors ready for polishing, fluted glass has been ordered. This will create an element of privacy whilst allowing light through. Can't wait to see them in situ.
