Officers have been working in partnership with security staff across Wrexham to improve safety for women and are girls when visiting the city centre.
Cynergy SIA staff have recently undergone violence against women and girls (VAWG) awareness training, strengthening their knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by women and girls and how to respond appropriately.
It comes as part of Operation Virtue – an ongoing joint initiative with partners to tackle incidents of VAWG through education, crime prevention and raising awareness of ongoing campaigns.
Sergeant Sarah Hughes-Jones said: “The training is aimed to help security staff recognise vulnerability, challenge inappropriate behaviour, and provide support to women and girls when it’s needed.
“It reinforces the shared commitment between partners to create safer spaces within Wrexham's night-time economy.
“By working together, we can continue to make our communities safer, more welcoming, and ensure everyone feels confident to enjoy a night out free from harassment and violence."
