A couple of bits off the CNC today, a chair frame ready for Upholstery and a set of racking for a work van.

Something different on the machine last week. We turned 12 sets of these round within a day to support a last minute customer order. We discussed the requirements with the customer on the phone, they then sent us the design, we created a 2D drawings file, created a program and machined it out within a matter of hours. For this one the customer went for MDF but on future orders we have advised to switch to a birch ply of better strength in the smaller parts of the design.

Some 3D scanning with our HX2 laser scanner today. This is a part we have made for a customer and we are now scanning it to confirm the part matches the CAD model. The part was designed by us based on the customer provided definition and then CNC cut and assembled in house.

Some really big projects (literally) at 3rdimension recently, we have been so busy that we haven't been able to post for a while. From Van Racking to Mould Plugs, to bespoke flooring and solid oak bars, it's been non-stop.

Some Custom Made floors for these long wheel base Vauxhall Movanos today. The customer has bought us 3 empty vans to work with, these need floors, side panels and ceilings made. This van is to be fitted out with custom racking so was supplied without panels.

To create the floor we had to 3d scan the base of the van and then cnc a new floor from the resulting scan data.

Some signs for a graphics company today, these are routed into scaffolding boards. They aren't the easiest material to work with but they came out nice after a quick sand.

A little project for a startup business today, these trees of life are machined at a 300mm size, the engraving is 10mm deep and will be filled with resin. We liked them so much we made a sign for a nursery, this is primed and ready for painting.

Nothing sells a product like having it on display. At RPTraders Medical they sell a wide range of quality medical equipment, and wanted a custom made display stand to show them off to prospective customers.

3rdimension, designed and manufactured this stand to their exacting requirement. It looks great.
