🌟 Client Focus Friday 🌟
“I’ve been using the Activate Your Seat bungi for over a year now. I originally bought the system to increase my stability in the saddle but the benefits outside of it were what kept me sticking with it.
I’ve dealt with moderate daily hip pain from a previous riding accident in 2015, which can escalate to severe sciatica pain and numbness. It felt like my left leg wasn’t mine.
This amazing little band and program keeps me almost entirely pain free. And my leg aids are back to what they felt like pre accident; strong, stable, and connected. Thank you a million times over!”

I get a lot of DMs about the equipment I use so here are my top 5 for safety.
Most I bought myself with my own money. A few were kindly gifted to me, but I wouldn’t share them if I didn’t truly love them.
I adore my Racesafe body protector. It fits me well and I don’t feel overly restricted in it. I upgraded to the Motion 3 version last year and I find it really comfy. I also invested in a dark green cover to match my cross country colours 💚
I have been using Tech Stirrups for years. I love the design and quality of them. They kindly gifted me this pair a few years ago when they saw I had the non safety ones and these are fabulous. I also love the depth of the tread, it gives me stable base to work from and I feel more secure in my position.
I bought my Champion hat a few years ago when I needed a safety upgrade. I had it fitted and it suits me really well. I love the fact the sides are deeper for more safety, and it’s nicely ventilated for my overheating perimenopausal head!
I finally invested in an air jacket last year. After a lot of research I picked Hit Air UK Ltd as I feel it has the best design for maximum safety. It feels light and comfortable to wear, and I can say from experience it inflates instantly and the gas canister is easy to replace. I would highly recommend unclipping before you jump off in excitement, especially if you have done this twice…
Last, but definitely not least, Pronto’s Equilibrium Products safety head collar for travelling and tying up. I had the scariest 40 seconds of my life a few months ago when Pronto got caught on the clip on the outside of my trailer at an event. I thought I had a leather head collar from a well known equestrian brand. Turned out it was pleather and had a webbed inside. It did not snap. Thankfully he didn’t panic and we managed to free him, but it could easily have been a fractured neck. Equilibrium heard about it and very kindly sent me one of their safety head collars to try. This has been vigorously tested by david marlin, and it gives me peace of mind to know the Velcro will snap if he ever gets caught again.
What are your top safety equipment recommendations?

How cool is my pony? 😎
Usually I have Insomnia by Faithless playing in my head when I go cross country, but this time my brain changed it to Encore Une Fois by Sash on the way to that massive steeplechase fence 🤷🏼♀️🎶

Dressage at Scone Palace BE100 Scottish Championships - without a doubt our best test of the year.
Fresh HRT patch applied
Bungi warm up in the trailer
Activated seat mode engaged
Game faces ON
My plan for Scone was to not ride another mediocre test…
We had a warm up and a test plan practiced with Karon Carson and I finally managed to implement it 😎
