Did you know? Most modern homes use plastic push-fit pipes behind the walls. They're quick to fit, but if they burst, they tear straight through your ceiling. On all our jobs, we swap internal pipes to solid, soldered copper. You'll never see it, but you'll sleep better knowing it's there.

Thinking of refreshing your bathroom this year? Here's a £5,000 lesson: most bathroom leaks don't come from bad tiles; they happen behind the wall where you can't see. Before hiring a tiler, always ask if they fit waterproof backing boards. They will likely tell you they use moisture proof plasterboard which is industry standard but won’t hold up as you would think if there’s a leak!
