For the love of Walnut 🪵 The post-war era brought a wave of cold industrial materials into our homes. While the look was futuristic, it risked feeling like a sterile laboratory.
The solution? Many designers, including Finn Juhl, George Nelson and Marcel Gascoin, used walnut as the ultimate balancer. Its rich, chocolatey grain and visual softness provided the warmth needed to make modernism feel liveable.
