“When I was around twenty, there happened to be a Dieter Rams exhibition in Korea. It made such an impression on me that I still remember it as vividly as if I’d visited last Friday. That was when I became an admirer of his work and began dreaming of owning a Vitsœ shelving system one day.

About ten years ago, I visited New York on a business trip and went to a Vitsœ shop for the first time. The shelving in the photo is the very same system we planned back then. I still remember how kindly a member of your New York team guided me through the process.” – Soomin Chun

Shelving that makes room for the things you make.

Today’s inspiration is the Dutch home of Giedre Kaziunas, and their wall mounted shelving system that holds their books and handmade pieces:

“606 system was something we had wanted for years, and it has become the focal point of our living room. We both appreciate thoughtful, long-lasting design, and as a creative couple, with my husband working as a graphic designer and me as a ceramic artist, we especially enjoy how it lets us display handmade objects alongside books and design objects without the space ever feeling busy. It also gives us the flexibility to change and add things over time as our home evolves.”
