1-acre garden with lots of different areas, a silver birch walk, wildlife pond with seating, apple tree garden, Mediterranean planted area and lawns surrounded with herbaceous plants and shrubs. Patio area with climbing roses and wisteria. There is also a utility garden with greenhouse, vegetables in beds, herbs and perennial flower beds, lawn and fruit cage. Part of the old gardens owned by the Cotton family who used to open approx 9 acres to the public in the 1920's

Spring is on its way and at last flowers and blossom are appearing.
We open on Sunday for Earl Shilton in bloom and are also available for groups visitors by arrangement for the National Garden Scheme

Another year is dawning and Barracca is opening its grounds again for the National Garden Scheme. All proceeds go to them.An ideal garden for your group to visit by arrangement. Autumn is coming and the plants are starting to reflect this.

I have just signed up with the National Garden Scheme for next year to open for groups who would like to visit the garden. Any group considered not just clubs and societies. Perhaps having a business meeting or get together and you can relax in an outside place, a birthday celebration or special occasion. All proceeds go to the NGS. A wonderful cause that supports so many.

When your niece comes to stay and can’t wait to help reduce the pond who am I to argue!

A stroll around the bottom of the garden today in the heat. I headed for the shade but it was still too warm for work!
