If you treat your customers like you appreciate them they might just appreciate you back. I find it sad when I overhear people in retail moaning about their customers.

The best way to spend a well earned day off. . .
Yep, spend the day cleaning and organising the toolbox. 🧰 [I wonder how worthy this is] 😂
In all seriousness though efficiency and safety are really important.
I have only worked in one bike shop that thought it was a good idea to check the condition of their tools. Even then it seemed like it was just paying lip service to the H&S officer gods; it wasn’t done very often and the replacement tools were never ordered.
Most injuries in the workshop can be attributed to worn or poor fitting tools. I’m sure I remember has written about the difference in fit of many brands of Hex keys for example.
Taking the time to check over each tool and really consider whether it’s still safe to use is crucial habit that needs to be adopted much more than it is.
Typical culprits are pedal Spanners, hex keys and screwdrivers.
Now is the perfect time for a spring clear out. ⛅️
Its the weekend and the suns a shining 🌞
