This page started when the The Big Table Showroom and Workshop came under threat of permanent closure during the early stages of the Crossrail project.
A much loved and used truly local business of many years standing : these pages were originally created in 2011 to co-ordinate and share news, activities and materials during the successful campaign to persuade Crossrail not to take compulsory purchase possession of the whole site for temporary office space.

General information
"We've fought the good fight but to no avail. There's no right of appeal. We are, however, still taking orders for deliveries throughout August and September and we shall endeavour to meet our customary lead time of one week. So if you, or anyone close to you, are thinking about a new bed, and/or mattress, give us a call. Just don't leave it too long.
