Give us an unsymmetrical, narrow corridor and we can still give it character, function and style… no space is forgotten when designing a home… often the imperfect spaces are the most satisfying!
By designing panneling to the lower levels we united the space, we were able to extend the panelling for coat hooks with a shelf above for baskets. The stunning wallpaper brought all the character and colour!

We love designing each space with individual character but we are always thinking about how rooms transition… our designs are full of colour and individual personality, each room with a different use or situation in mind but always with a flow that sometimes means strong colour changes go unnoticed…

Children’s bedrooms designed to last… headboards that create cosy nooks for those younger years and can be repurposed as double headboards when when the time comes… we always look at future possible room layouts and put sockets and switches in place…

That time of year when we hunker down and get our affairs in order and make plans for the 12 months ahead… much easier to do it in a beautifully designed surroundings by Hutley&Humm! We loved designing this 2 person desk area - with plenty of hidden storage for drop files and printers and brass trim with warm, worn leather inlays in the desk table top. F&B ‘Etruscan Red’ Matt emulsion was the perfect contrast to the Smokey blue joinery.
This past year has been so huge for Hutley&Humm… we are entering a new era of the business after ‘managing’ for a few years navigating pregnancies, small families and the high and lows of the many unforeseens… never have we been more grateful to do something we truly love, for clients that have been so trusting and fun to work with and to work with each other… we don’t take our unique position for granted - to be able to laugh together and work together is so special and we can’t wait to hit 2026 running… with projects underway far and wide we feel so lucky and so excited for the next 12 months…. Thank you to all who have supported team H&H over the last 13 years… we couldn’t do it without our wonderful network and design community!

Swipe for before and after shots ➡️… Finding ways to ensure the functioning parts of the house flow seamlessly and make the everyday more enjoyable is a huge part of our work- our clients come to us to design their entire home for the special moments and the everyday chores… we incorporated full height cupboards, high level shelves for hats and gloves above the pegs and for vases above the sink and laundry area - every aspect of your home deserves to be fully considered!

This calm and elegant Master Suite was designed to be a sanctuary for our client… soft off-white textured linens, cottons and heavy weaves, textured raffia wallpaper and brass accents… the rest of the home is full of bold colour and these is a calming contrast to unwind and relax…
