We decided that there must be a place in the market for a company allowing people to design their own products… and so we founded Scorched Forge with the aim of doing just that. By enabling people to design the product themselves, it becomes so much more than just an item. It becomes something personal, a piece of art incorporating some part of that person’s individuality which brings with it a sentimental value that cannot be matched by a product bought off the shelf in the high street. Scorched Forge brings together the worlds of digital creativity and physical manufacturing. With our high precision C02 laser, we can accept graphics in more-or-less any format from customers all over the world and engrave pretty much any design onto our items. As well as encouraging our customers to create their own designs, we are teaming up with artists from around the globe to form an entire community of people passionate about bringing great designs to life. Not only does this give our customers a great portfolio of designs to choose from; it provides an opportunity for people to contact our artists directly and commission truly bespoke, original work from them. Customers will be able to submit their own designs via the Scorched Forge website, choose the exact material and style of item they want and sit back while we engrave the design onto their chosen product before posting it to their door. Whilst customised mobile phone cases have been chosen as the initial product Scorched Forge will offer, owing to the high desirability for individuality and their relatively high value, we have plans to rapidly expand our product range to offer many other customised accessories such as wallets, folders, greetings cards, tablet computer cases and our own unique style of engraved wooden artwork.
