🖤 **Standard hinges or Italian quality?**

Sometimes, the smallest details make the biggest difference.

For our bespoke furniture, we choose Italian hinges for that extra touch of quality, style and a premium finish. ✨

✔️ Smooth, reliable movement
✔️ A refined, luxurious look
✔️ Quality details that make everyday use feel better

"Because apparently, even furniture needs to float to make an impression. 😂”

Would you pay extra for a floating TV unit, or is gravity doing a perfectly good job? 👇

Sometimes you don’t need a whole sheet…

Need a small shelf?
A little cabinet?
A custom piece for an awkward space?

We have a selection of different colours and sizes of boards available - perfect for small, creative projects without the cost of a full sheet. ♻️

We’ve been a bit quiet on here lately… 😅

But honestly, it’s only because we’ve been too busy working!

The workshop has been keeping us on our toes, with new projects, new ideas and plenty going on behind the scenes. Barka Furniture is growing, and we’re really happy with the direction things are going. 🙌

‼️ Our old workshop saw is FOR SALE!‼️

Have a look through the photos and if you’re interested, drop us a message. Questions, offers or enquiries -all welcome.

Thanks for following and supporting our little business. ❤️

We may be quiet online… but we’re definitely not quiet in the workshop! 😉

We know we should be showing you more of what we’re making- and we will!
More projects, more behind-the-scenes and more furniture coming soon.

Huge shoutout to another great local business we had the pleasure of using today 👏🚐 Deys Self Drive Car & Van Hire Montrose.

Reliable, friendly and exactly what small businesses need when there’s work to be done. Supporting local businesses means supporting our whole community - and we’re always happy to recommend good service when we receive it.

If anyone around town needs a van rental, definitely check them out! 🙌

Sun’s out… and we’re still in the workshop ☀️🔨

While most people are enjoying the day off, we’re doing what we love – carefully crafting made-to-measure furniture from high-quality MFC. Precision, clean finishes, and attention to every detail – even on the sunniest days.

Because great furniture doesn’t build itself 😉

Late night in the workshop after a full day at work and the gym 💪

Not always easy, but we keep going - step by step, project by project.

Anyone else building something after hours? 👀

Yesterday was all about our clients 😊

We visited two different projects - meeting one client during their busy work day, and another later in the evening at their home.

Because we know life doesn’t always fit into standard hours.

For us, it’s not just about furniture. It’s about understanding your space, your routine, and what will actually work best for you.

That’s why we take a personal approach to every project - listening, advising, and creating something truly tailored to your lifestyle.

If you’re thinking about bespoke furniture, we’re always happy to work around you and your schedule.
