DMS Polishing and Floor Sanding

This oak floor was up there with one of the most damaged floors we’ve worked on, the previous owners let their dogs destroy it.
So we gave it a full sand and got to use the new Norton Razorstar ceramic discs from Grand Parkett and they are some seriously tough discs, really impressed 👌
Then it got 3 coats of a ceramic fortified matt lacquer.

Been a great week having our daughter work with during her school work experience… impressed with her hard work even in this heat all week, from sanding an open plan oak floor on the Bona FlexiSand and edging with Lagler Flip to finishing off deep cleaning another oak floor and buffing in some osmo white maintenance oil.

Another bucket list ticket off, seeing Metallica no repeat weekend with my daughter.
Seeing them on Friday & Sunday was truly amazing and watch my daughter sing and head bang none stop and having a permanent smile makes working hard worth it 🤘

Was great to work on this solid oak floor this week, not so great in this heat with an Aga on 🥵
Floor had previously been hand sanded and oiled so was looking a little tired so we gave it a full sand then coated in 2k natural lacquer to give a light look but more durable than oil.

Great to to get this open plan living space all wrapped up in 2k natural matt lacquer (apart from the utility room and staircase due this week)

Big job this one, 20m long open plan living space that we’ve split in half for the furniture.
Got a full sand and 4 coats of 2k natural lacquer 👌
Back next week for the other side plus hopefully the staircase.

So we have a new FlexiSand in our lineup and given it a good test on this rather large open plan living space…

We did look at some other machines but as we’ll be getting the old one fixed it makes sense to have two running and share parts.

Back at a customer to finish the rest of the downstairs solid oak flooring that had gone orange and was showing general wear and tear.
Got a full sand (then the FlexiSand broke 🤦🏼‍♂️💷) so got the Trio out for the final pass before coating in a commercial grade matt lacquer.

Really nice to get this oak floor looking like new as it hadn’t been touched for 10yrs… full sand then coated with Bona intense primer and Bona Traffic hd matt lacquer.

Great job to work on this week this sold oak lounge and bedroom flooring turning it from the old sun bleached orange to a flat matt natural finish…
Coated in Saicos multitop with uv and hardener protection added.
