DMS Polishing and Floor Sanding

Great to to get this open plan living space all wrapped up in 2k natural matt lacquer (apart from the utility room and staircase due this week)

Big job this one, 20m long open plan living space that we’ve split in half for the furniture.
Got a full sand and 4 coats of 2k natural lacquer 👌
Back next week for the other side plus hopefully the staircase.

So we have a new FlexiSand in our lineup and given it a good test on this rather large open plan living space…

We did look at some other machines but as we’ll be getting the old one fixed it makes sense to have two running and share parts.

Back at a customer to finish the rest of the downstairs solid oak flooring that had gone orange and was showing general wear and tear.
Got a full sand (then the FlexiSand broke 🤦🏼‍♂️💷) so got the Trio out for the final pass before coating in a commercial grade matt lacquer.

Really nice to get this oak floor looking like new as it hadn’t been touched for 10yrs… full sand then coated with Bona intense primer and Bona Traffic hd matt lacquer.

Great job to work on this week this sold oak lounge and bedroom flooring turning it from the old sun bleached orange to a flat matt natural finish…
Coated in Saicos multitop with uv and hardener protection added.

Got a call from a customer asking if we could put right this newly sanded floor by another flooring company.
Was shocked at how bad this was, full of belt and edger marks, corners missed, was meant to be a raw lacquer finish but was shiny in places and Matt in others where they hadn’t mixed the bottle enough plus roller marks and a footprint… everyone makes the odd mistake but they even claimed it was the customer being fussy.
So luckily they trusted us to put the floor right but this time go back to an oil finish, the photos are before the final coat in Morrells XLO parquet oil.

Freshly sanded oak engineered floor although only a couple of mm thick so was a tricky one to sand fully, but looking great with a satin lacquer finish… then onto the the kitchen/dining room next week.

Forgot to take many before photos but always good to get a teak block floor looking back to its best and this was before its final buff and coat👌
