This lovely tallboy was no stranger to upcycling… it had previously been stained in a dark oak and painted in a charcoal grey. For its next chapter my client wanted it to be Farrow and Ball’s Charleston Gray to match the other units in her bedroom.
It had quite a few knocks and chips so I sanded it right back to a smooth finish, then filled in the major gaps with wood-filler before I got painting. I started with a coat of Farrow and Ball dark tones primer before painting with 3 coats of Charleston Gray.
I’m delighted with the finish, it’s reminded me how much I enjoy painting… more to come 😉
