A little furniture revival from the archives!

This lovely old cabinet was one of my favorite pieces to work on. I fell in love with the carved detailing and original hardware, so I wanted to keep as much of that character as possible.

I went with a soft, warm wood-toned paint wash with Fusion’s Woodwick that really brings out the grain and all those little details.

One of my favorite discoveries was the old workshop label tucked away on the piece. I always love finding little reminders of the people who originally made these things.

This one has since gone off to its new home, but I thought it deserved a little spot on here.

Well, it’s been a while! Almost a year, actually. 😅

I’ve been pretty quiet on here, but I’ve been keeping busy! Along with restoring furniture, I started making art prints earlier this year, and it’s turned into a much bigger project than I ever expected.

I’ve always loved old botanical illustrations, wildlife art, and anything with a bit of history behind it, so that’s mostly what I’ve been working on lately. I’ve got quite a few collections now, and it’s been fun seeing which prints people are drawn to.

I’ve also opened an Etsy shop where you can browse all the prints I’ve been working on! I’ve added the link to my bio if you’d like to have a look.

I’m still working on furniture when I can, so that isn’t going anywhere. You’ll just be seeing a lot more art around here, plus the usual bits of Shropshire life.

Anyway, figured it was about time I popped back on here and shared what I’ve been up to!

A few months ago I uploaded my first botanical print to Etsy.
Today the shop has grown to more than 200 listings.

What began as a way to preserve and share beautiful public-domain artwork has become a collection of botanical illustrations, county flowers, state flowers, wildlife studies, and heritage prints that are now finding homes across the UK, United States, Canada, Australia, and beyond.

I've spent countless hours searching archives, restoring damaged artwork, adjusting colours, and preparing each piece for print. It's been incredibly rewarding to see these historic illustrations appreciated by a new audience.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here.

I didn’t mean to go quiet, I’ve just been working away in the background. Mostly going through old botanical illustrations, playing around with colours, and trying to get things to look how I want them.

I’ve put together a little collection of prints over the past few months, and a few have already found new homes, which is still kind of surreal.
