✨ Something a little different coming to Chesapeake mill✨

I’ve been busy making some rather large canvases, measuring 120 x 60 cm, which will be making their way to Chesapeake Mill soon!

I thought I’d share a little behind-the-scenes look at the process, showing the halfway stage of making them, along with the original photos and some inspiration pictures to give you an idea of how they could look displayed in your own home.

Each design brings something a little different, whether you love beautiful scenery, striking animals or something a little more colourful and quirky.

Keep an eye out for their arrival at the mill — I’ll let you know when they’re ready to view!

New pieces added Chesapeake mill

✨ A Beautiful New Addition to Restored & Adored at Chesapeake mill ✨

A new piece has arrived in my space at Chesapeake Mill this morning! ♡

This beautiful pine chest of drawers has had a simple but stunning transformation. The old varnish has been carefully sanded back to reveal the natural beauty of the pine, before being lovingly re-waxed to enhance its gorgeous grain and warm tones.

The drawers have been dressed with the most beautiful floral decoupage using Velvet Bloom A1 Fibre Decoupage Paper by Redesign with Prima, bringing gorgeous shades of pinks and soft green to the natural pine.

I've also added new hardware to finish the look, and the piece comes complete with its matching pine mirror and stand — a lovely feature that makes it extra special!

A perfect combination of natural wood and romantic florals, giving this pre-loved piece a fresh new lease of life. 🤍

This beautiful, upcycled bookcase is now available to view and purchase at Chesapeake Mill, Wickham! ♡
It's taking the place of the chest of drawers that are heading off to their lovely new home today.
With its gorgeous sage green finish, natural wood shelves and top, and pretty botanical backing, this piece would make a lovely addition to any home.

✨ Another transformed piece has just arrived at Chesapeake Mill, ready for the weekend! ✨

This beautiful Lebus three-drawer chest has been given a complete new lease of life, painted in Fusion Mineral Paint – Manor Green and finished with the gorgeous Crimson Elegance Double Decoupaged Fibre Paper by Re·Design with Prima.
I’ve kept all of the original hardware, giving it a thorough clean before bringing it back to life with gold gilding wax. I’ve also added the same beautiful gold detailing along the top edging of the drawers, tying everything together perfectly. ✨

With three spacious drawers, including a lovely deep bottom drawer, it’s not only pretty but practical too — perfect for adding a little character and storage to a bedroom, hallway or living space.

A real statement piece with those rich crimson florals against the deep Manor Green.

From tired and dated… to ready to be loved again ♡

This piece certainly needed a fair bit of sanding, preparation and TLC, but underneath that tired finish I could see so much potential.
And this is exactly what I love about upcycling — taking something that may have been overlooked or destined for another life, putting in the time and hard work, and transforming it into something beautiful that can be re-loved and enjoyed all over again.
It’s amazing what a little vision, patience and lots of elbow grease can do!
