Bowman's Breakdowns

Got a call for this Vauxhall Vivaro in Rushden (Taunton) yesterday, having dropped off a parcel to the house it pulled up on, it decided it no longer wanted to start when the owner hopped back in 📦 🪫

Thinking it was either a faulty alternator or battery I was asked to carry out a jumpstart, however that proved fruitless 🔌

So i pushed it off the driveway it was stricken on, onto the road and loaded it up onto the CRT for transport to a garage just outside Weston Super Mare in Banwell 📌

Called out to this Renault Clio last night after it was involved in a single car RTC with a high curb causing extensive damage to the OSF suspension assembly, wheel and vehicle a pillar 🫣.

Ironically, a few months ago the same customer had the same make and model vehicle (only back) and had the same incident only in a different location late at night 😄, you couldn't make this up, third time lucky? 🤞

Last time I recovered it for him, then re-attended the day after on request to buy and collect the vehicle for scrap, this time the deal was done at the scene, bought and transported directly to the breakers yard for scrap 💰.

Collected this Peugeot 206 from Crediton earlier and taken to Lowmoor Breakers Yard for Scrap.

Suspected head gasket, coolant loss and rear axle bushes defects.

I was contracted tonight to transport this Nissan Qashqai from the Park&Ride in Plymouth to Launceston. 🚗 🚌

I had to go to the owner's home to collect the key 📌 then back to the vehicle 📌 then back to the owners home to drop the vehicle off 📌 after arriving at the vehicle to find noone there 📌 🫩.

Nevertheless, 3hrs later the vehicle was parked on their driveway where they wanted it safe and secure 🔐

Called to this Mercedes SLK200 for the short movement from one address to another 5 minutes down the road in Taunton this morning.

Having moved home, the vehicle needed moving also. 🏠 🚗

As it had sat for some time, I had to sort out the tyre pressures plus the alternator had packed up so I used the Anderson leads to piggyback off my alternator/battery to breath a little life into it. 🪫

Slipperies under the rear wheels then winch it off the drive it's been sat on, load it up for transporting 🪝.

Once at the drop location 📌 I moved Infront of the vehicle, linked up my Anderson leads again and convoy it up the driveway from the road as the owner reversed and I drove keeping the engine running off my power supply 🔋

Contacted by Drive Vauxhall (North Bristol) this morning to help one of their customers out by recovering this Citroen C5 Aircross from Bishops Lydeard back to Drive Vauxhall for inspection and repair 🔧

Car developed a knocking noise and went into limp mode heavily reducing the power output to sub 30mph 🚫

The owner contacted Drive Vauxhall and they rang me for assistance. ☎️🚨
