What an absolute beauty! This antique chest once housed a mirror and would have been used as a dressing table …. Functionally speaking that’s a bit useless when you can’t sit comfortably whilst doing your hair or makeup.

This could be a hallway piece with a large lamp etc or personally I feel this would make a great vanity unit if you are renovating a bathroom at the moment , you could add some marble, granite or quartz and a large sink.

Crafted in oak at the start of the 20th century , I’ve added these handles as the contrast of the brass against Off Black is 🖤

Over 225 years old and still as beautiful and relevant today as the day it was made…

This magnificent Georgian chest on chest dates from around 1790–1800, a time when furniture was crafted not just to be admired, but to last for generations.

With its beautiful warm timber tones, contrasting inlaid detailing, original-style decorative brass handles and impressive architectural cornice, this is a piece that effortlessly combines elegance with practicality.

Offering an abundance of storage across its nine drawers, it’s a wonderful alternative to modern bedroom furniture, bringing character, history and a sense of permanence to a room.

And whilst it may be over two centuries old, I think it looks just as fabulous in a contemporary country bedroom as it would in a grand Georgian home.

This is why I will always champion antique furniture. Beautiful craftsmanship, timeless design and the knowledge that you’re giving another chapter to something that has already lived through centuries of history.

After all, why buy something made to last a few years when you can own something that’s already lasted over 200?

A proper old-fashioned linen press or housekeeper’s cupboard 🤍

Originally made for storing the household linens, this beautiful antique linen press is one of those pieces that combines incredible storage with real presence.

This beauty dates to the first have of the 1800’s , its mahogany with oak lined drawers and slides. So whoever had this commissioned for their home was a wealthy person.

Inside the top cupboard are five original sliding pull out linen trays, designed so beautifully folded sheets, towels and table linens could be stored separately and easily accessed. Beneath are four further drawers offering an enormous amount of additional storage.

Dressed in Pigeon by Farrow & Ball, its simple panelled doors, substantial cornice, turned handles and shaped feet give it that understated English country-house look that works just as beautifully in a modern home.

And while we might not have a housekeeper organising our linen cupboards anymore, this would make an exceptional bedroom piece for clothing and bedding — or those trays could be absolutely wonderful for shoes, handbags and folded knitwear.

Some furniture just has presence…

This fabulous teak campaign desk instantly makes a room feel more interesting.
It has a warm patina with brass corner details and classic inset brass handles, it has that wonderful vintage office feel — practical, beautifully made and full of character.

And the storage! Seven drawers - the lowest drawers are double in size, with a generous working surface, making it every bit as useful today as it would have been decades ago.

Perfect as a statement home-office desk

A stunning Victorian pine linen press with the original brass handles.

The upper cupboard has been converted to a hanging robe and has one of the original slides still in place and could be handy if you want a shelf.

Normally I paint these but it’s so hard to fine pine ones that I’m going to leave it as it is - I think this would be perfect in a country home or farmhouse.

This comes in 3 pieces to make access to the room easier. Assembles in minutes and will last another few generations I’m certain.

Elegant curves, beautiful carved detailing and just the right amount of aged patina — this console table has all the charm of a piece that feels as though it has always belonged.

Finished in a soft, time-worn neutral, the ornate floral detailing has been gently highlighted to bring out those wonderful carvings without making it feel overly fussy.

It’s a piece that could completely transform a hallway, sitting room or bedroom — add a favourite lamp, an oversized mirror, a vase of flowers and a few treasured books and it instantly creates a moment.

Old furniture really does have a way of bringing soul to a room.

And this one is rather special.

A pair of beautiful antique French mahogany nightstands with marble tops.

These date to the late 1800’s and they are really lovely, the marble tops are in good order , there is a very old repair to one of them and a ring mark on the other but I feel these are characterful and add to the authenticity of this pair.

The marble tops are square so you can place them anyway you wish . There is a small drawer at the top and a storage cupboard all sitting on tall cabriole legs

This very lovely Victorian pier cabinet is crafted in Rosewood with edging in ebonised mahogany. The cabinet features incredible ormolu mounts and marquetry detailing, all done by hand.

The original velvet lining is beautifully faded and worn reflecting the decadence of its era. It includes a key but this is not a working lock sadly.

Perfect for books, bathrooms, treasures, or bedrooms. Sign writing later added.

Its quite slim making it suitable for smaller rooms or recesses . The wardrobe separates into two parts for transportation and assembly in situ.
